Serving Cart, 1960s
Serving carts. We do love them: they are beautiful to look at, and you can push them to and fro in your flat. But. When you, like us, are pushing 40 and already learned about your spinal discs, you might not be all too fond of the idea of stooping around with your afternoon tea.
For this and many other reasons, we are super keen on this one from the '60s: lacking any kind of handle, it literally invites us to carry the tray. With a straight back, very much to the joy of our physio.
The other reasons: wicker. Three wheels (always more stable than four). Typical-of-the-time filigree design. Large enough to make sense, small enough not to annoy. And wicker.
Very good condition with slight patina on the base. The tray was coated by the pre-owner.
Measures: diameter 54cm, height 54cm.
