Five S33 Cantilever Chairs, 1970s
Is there any chair deserving to be called "timeless" more than Mart Stam's S33? We don't think so...
Presented already in 1927 in Stuttgart's Weißenhof, the world-famous Bauhaus estate, this first cantilever dining chair ever was a revolution. Its elegant levity is still unrivaled today.
We have five of these masterpieces, made by Thonet in the '70s and used ever since. That's why they come with an undeniable patina, which, in our eyes, is more good than damage. Even the fact that it is not a full lot of six chairs does not have to be a deficit: there is room for a special statement piece at the head of the table.
Measures: width 49,5cm, depth 67cm, height 84cm, seat height 45cm.
