Coffee Table, 1960s
Don't dip your pen in company ink! We agree. But you can change the chronological order, and miracles happen.
Like Charles and Ray Eames, and Kajsa and Nisse Strinning, Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen were a married couple. The studied together at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Kaare Klint. Later, they worked together. And it worked.
One of their most successful design was this coffee table for France & Daverkosen, a manufacturer well-known for cooperations with the most predominant designers in contemporary Denmark, and for the use of only the finest wood. So this was meant to turn out great.
Biomorphic shape, easiness, and harmony through repeating certain lines on the base and the elevated edge of the tabletop – we love this.
Good vintage condition with visible but acceptable traces of usage (see pictures).
Measures: width 120cm, depth 51,5cm, height 47cm.
